Fort Lee Public Schools
Welcome to our website...Always a great experience
Welcome to Chartwells School Dining Services website for the Fort Lee School District. Locally in Fort Lee, we serve meals to over 3500 students in 6 schools; 4 elementary schools, 1 middle school and 1 high school. Our goal is to provide the best quality food for each student one child at a time.
Nationwide, Chartwells currently manages over 550 public school districts. These districts range from one to hundreds of individual school locations. We serve approximately 2.5 million students in over 6000 elementary, middle and high schools across the country. Most of our food service operations are governed by the National School Lunch and Breakfast Program and require strict regulatory compliance.
Chartwells School Dining Services continues to provide Fort Lee with an appealing and nutritionally sound child nutrition program that is safe and affordable to parents, students, faculty and staff.
Over the past 18 years some of our accomplishments include: the transition to fat free and 1% milk, an elimination of all trans fat and fried food, adding more Balanced Choice meals and "Better for you" snacks; adding more fresh fruits and vegetables options to our menus at all grade levels; offering "Super food" choices regularly on the menu. We have implemented a computerized system in each cafeteria to track student balances and meal choices. Pay For It - an online payment feature was activated and a convienent Fort Lee website allowing quick access to information about our services and access to nutritional information.
Nourishing students is not only our business; it's our commitment to the communities in which we serve. Chartwells is a diverse family of dedicated food and nutrition specialists serving the academic community. We deliver customized solutions that benefit our partners through innovative programs.
